MEET TANYA
ELLE/SHE/HER | HAIR STYLIST/COLORIST/MAKEUP ARTIST
Our founder, Tanya, has been in the beauty industry for more than two decades. Her experience has been extensive, ranging from Stylist and Make-up Artist (In particular, at the Lise Watier Institutes par St-Laurent Coiffure), to winning various awards in hairdressing and makeup artistry over the years. She has participated in runway shows, photo shoots and has actively applied her artistic makeup skills on famous artists and celebrities since she began her career. She believes in the importance of continuous improvement and is always up to date on the newest trends and techniques by attending yearly conventions and classes across the world.
Tanya obtained two diplomas, one in hair styling and one in artistic makeup to then begin her career in the beautiful city of Montreal. She also deepened her experience by earning her Redken color certification in 2017. Tanya chose her path in business and beauty intentionally, gaining valuable experience by working in notable salons in the region.
In being able to work with wonderful teams and exceptional salon owners and leaders, she was given the opportunity to continuously improve in the field. Her hard work was valued, and her guests always left feeling great and as though they had lived a one-of-a-kind experience.
Inspired by her past experiences, Tanya decided it was time to open her own doors at Spazio Design Capillaire so that she too, could offer others an unforgettable experience.
As Tanya said, “I had no doubt in my mind that I was going to be successful, and most of all, happy. I always knew that one day, something fantastic would happen.” Now that dream has finally come true.

BIANCA LABONTÉ

Bianca Labonté is a skilled and experienced hair stylist with a passion for her craft. Over the past 12 years, she has honed her skills and developed a strong foundation in hair styling. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working alongside talented colleagues who have greatly influenced her journey as a colorist.
From a young age, Bianca discovered her natural talent and passion for hairstyling, starting with her own family’s hair. This passion continued to grow, leading her to pursue formal education in this art.She is dedicated to continually learning and refining her techniques, always striving to add her own unique touch and style to the art of hair painting.
Bianca values the connection she forms with her clients and finds joy in creating a memorable and fulfilling experience for them at Spazio, where she currently practices her craft. She believes in understanding her clients’ needs and desires, ensuring they receive the utmost satisfaction from their salon visits.
Having worked with Redken for many years, Bianca appreciates the brand’s commitment to innovation and constant learning. She embraces the products and techniques offered by Redken, recognizing that they enable her to stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in the industry.

CASS FOURNIER

Cass is a licensed and experienced barber who had dedicated many years to perfecting her craft. She attended Hairfellas School of Barber where she gained the foundational knowledge and hands-on training necessary to provide top-notch barbering services.
Throughout her career, she has developed a strong passion for her work and a deep understanding of the art and techniques of barbering. She actively seeks out opportunities to expand her skills, whether it be staying current on the latest cutting techniques or exploring new product lines that enhance the client's grooming experience.She embraces challenges and consistently pushes herself to grow both personally and professionally.
She firmly believes that building strong relationships with her clients is key to understanding their individual needs and preferences. She values open communication and actively listens to ensure that she delivers personalized haircuts and grooming services. Creating a positive and comfortable experience for each person in her chair is her goal.

VANESSA ROY

Vanessa’s love for hairdressing started at a young age when she used to have fun experimenting with braiding her best friend Angelique’s hair. Although back then, her best friend’s mom wasn’t pleased with the knots she had to later undo in her daughter’s hair, it was the beginning of a passion that was yet to be discovered. Years later, when visiting her sister who worked at the Lise Watier Institute in Montreal, she sat watching the artists and realized she had found her calling. How could this even be considered work, to help, listen and give the best of yourself to others, every single day?
Vanessa compares her role as a stylist to a long-term friendship with you and your hair. Whether it’s a new desired color or maintaining a successful look, she reserves the time necessary to achieve your hair desires.
Vanessa has worked with exceptional people for the last 16 years and takes great pride in a job well done. Her color certification with Redken has given her the opportunity to improve her skills in coloring and finding the right formula for her clients. She does admit to having a special fondness for all things “blond” and would love to chat about taking your color to the next level.
Being someone who values aesthetic care, Vanessa values the importance of self care and the need to feel beautiful and pampered. She builds a warm, clean, and relaxing environment so that you leave your appointment feeling calm and confident.
DANA ROY

Since childhood, Dana has captivated those around her with her artistic talent. Quickly recognized as the artist in her family, she discovered her passion for hairdressing during her high school years, when she regularly styled her friends' hair for shows and girls' nights out.
In 2008, Dana decided to follow her passion and enrolled in the hairdressing program at La Cité Collégiale. It was there that she fully developed her interest in the craft and demonstrated her talent by winning first place in a student competition. Later that year, she obtained a scholarship to do an internship abroad in Paris, her preferred choice, where she had the privilege of having world champion Monsieur Christian Jaffry as her mentor.
Over the past fifteen years, Dana has perfected her art of hairdressing through various training courses with renowned professionals such as Max Gourgues, Guy Tang, Sarai Speer, Chrissy Danielles and CD extensions. These experiences have enabled her to specialize in techniques focused on blond hair while always placing emphasis on preserving hair integrity.
DOMINIQUE HÉBERT
elle/she/her | Hair Artist – Curly Hair, Creative ColoUr & Bridal Styling
With over 20 years of experience, Dominique grew up immersed in the world of hairstyling, inspired by her mother — also a hairstylist — and acting as her loyal assistant from a young age. This lifelong passion shines through in every creation.
Specializing in curly hair, creative color, highlights and balayage, Dominique takes a natural, intuitive approach to hair. She loves enhancing each person’s unique texture and movement, helping clients embrace their authentic beauty.
Former owner of Studio Bohème, Dominique built a loyal clientele through her artistic vision and genuine connection with her guests. She now brings that same passion and expertise to Spazio Design Capillaire in Aylmer, where she continues to offer inspired, personalized hairstyling experiences.
Dominique also has a deep passion for bridal hairstyling, and with the team at Bombshell Hair Design, she won the Best Bridal Hairstyle award at the Ottawa Wedding Awards in 2019.
Always eager to learn and stay inspired, Dominique keeps up with the latest trends and techniques. Outside the salon, she loves painting, crafting, and spending time in nature, whether hiking or camping.
ZAHRA ALLEN
elle/she/her | Barber
Zahra started her career in barbering a decade ago as an assistant, answering phones and sweeping floors before enrolling at the Hairfellas School of Barbers in 2018. She went on to manage the Hairfellas Kanata location for six years, running a high-volume shop, building lasting client relationships, and establishing herself as a go-to stylist known for consistency and attention to detail.
After years of honing her craft and building a loyal clientele, Zahra stepped into entrepreneurship, operating her own studio before joining the Spazio team.
Specializing in precision haircutting, fades, and beard work, Zahra is known for delivering clean, modern results tailored to each individual. Her approach is rooted in care, intention, and creating an experience where clients feel comfortable, understood, and confident in the chair.
For Zahra, barbering is more than just a service, it’s about connection. She values building genuine relationships with her clients and takes pride in creating a calm, welcoming space where you can relax, be yourself, and leave feeling like your most authentic self.
